AquaWax is a finishing material that is reminiscent of an Old World wax-coated wall, both in look and feel. The wax is tinted with AquaColor, an acrylic, artist-quality tinting medium or alternatively, a latex Eggshell finish paint may be used. Usually two complementary colors or the same color with a light-tinted complement are mixed with the wax separately.
After a base paint application, the tinted AquaWax is then trowelled on in several layers, working in a translucent blend of the two colors.
